Downtown Boise Condos - The Royal Block

Well we've moved through several condo projects in Boise.  The next one is the Royal Block.  This project started out with a lot of promise.  Located slightly west of right downtown but still within 3 blocks of the Gem-Noble Building which I think of has having the most central location. 

The Royal Block suffered the same fate as the others.  Bad timing.  The Royal Block condos came on as the market was tanking.  Tony Roma's restaurant was supposed to go in on the ground floor.  That never happened. 

These condo's are and were expensive.  $400 a sq ft new  and a little dark, not much view, and a shaky financial situation with the developer combined to make the project prett slow going sales wise.

It may make it if the whole category of Boise improves but not otherwise.
