We lost it

Unfortunately, our offer was not accepted on the VA foreclosure we had our hopes set upon.  My family and I began to get emotionally invested in the property and had begun planning the renovation, as the house would have been our primary residence.

We'll continue to look for other properties, but quite frankly are a bit tired of looking at houses that we want to both serve as out primary residence and a good investment once transitioned to a rental.

I think it's much easier to evaluate property that you have no intention on ever living in.  So many factors to consider when you try to balance providing quality housing to your family and making a smart REI move.

Onward!

Until next time,

-Andrew

  1. Thanks @Natasha Keck, actually putting in another offer this week.  It's an inherited property, great location and large upside--plus it'll fit my family well as a live-in flip.

You're right about the ones that got away, live & learn and move on!

    Thanks for reading!

  2. The right house will come along and 20 years from now you won't even remember the ones that got away.
