Temporary Employment=Long-Term Problems

 A couple of interesting items from the latest jobs report that came out Friday, the 5th:

  • Part-time jobs are at an all-time high.
  • There are now a record number of Americans with temporary jobs.

The recovery, or lack thereof, is being fueled by a shift from full-time to part-time work.

Real estate investors need to look at the macro view (national economy and housing market) and the micro view (local economy and housing market). The macro forecast is that people will continue having challenges paying their mortgages and getting loans. This spells opportunity for RE investors who will buy houses from distressed sellers and provide housing for unqualified buyers.
