Why You Shouldn't Buy From a Drunk

Alright readers, I am going to write a series of blogs related to the purchase of my first duplex two years ago. A sneak peek into some titles: "That's Not a Flashlight!" and "Is That Cocaine?"

I know some of you are questioning the title and think that would a no brainer; not doing business with a drunk. I will write about how I analyzed my first purchase in an article titled "And You Didn't Think to Cover it?"

From offer to close, the individual I purchased the property from had a cocktail in his hand, and his assurances about the property were less than accurate, costing me extra money as the new owner.

I will be sure that the next time I deal with a drunken deal maker, I will do more verifying than trusting.
