So What's Happened In 10 Months? Still A Journey

Nobody told me just how difficult this journey would be.  I started this journey last December.  I've had a few hiccups along the way but I'm still learning!  My last blog was in February 2014.   I've since gone to a few local real estate group meetings.  I find them very informative but they didn't help me kickstart my real estate business.  If you recall I was paralyzed with fear and I didn't know if I should start out with an LLC or just do it.  So many opinions but come to find out the best discussion is what I felt most comfortable with.  I created an LLC and I'm glad about it.  I now have everything I've spent itemized and coming out of one account and it helps me be accountable.  I will have to write a few blogs to catch up on all of my nonsense but if you are anything like me you want the TRUTH and not all the fluff that got you into this business to begin with.

OK so I created my LLC in March, went to some local RE meetings and I still didn't do a deal.  I kept going to the monthly meetings but I was getting no where fast!  Months went by, me just wanting to get started but not sure where to start.  I listened to countless podcasts, videoblogs, and was armed with a ton of knowledge but I'm still not making any money!

I know that I wanted a coach/mentor but how do I find one?  I was at one of the local meetings and they had a program that included a coach and kinda walk a newbie through some deals.  I thought great!  I talked to the leader of the local RE meeting and she gave me the run around.  I live in Columbus but she traveled from Cincinnati, I called her local Cincinnati office to get more details, the secretary took my information and they never called me back.  I saw her again at the next meeting to inquire again and she acted like I was talking alien.  I was so frustrated, I'm thinking.... I look friendly.... I have the money why are you not interested in working with me?  

It just so happened someone in the group overheard me and saw how I was being treated and suggested a mentor program with someone in Columbus.   It's now September believe it or not I'm still spinning my wheels trying to break in to real estate.  I know it shouldn't be this damn difficult but HEY this is my journey.  We hear over and over how so and so made it but somehow it is forgotten that it didn't just happen over night.  I'm 12 months in and I haven't made one dollar!  All I've done up to this point is spend money.!!
