It's Lazy To Set Goals on January 1st

Have you ever thought about why almost everyone sets their new goals on January 1st? We will even wait 3 months to begin a goal we want to achieve just because the new year is looming. I say it's laziness! In reality what we are doing is just putting off work.

I'm guilty of doing this as well. A couple of weeks ago I had this idea that I wanted to join or start a mastermind group. So what did I do? You bet I didn't start looking for a mastermind group right then. I instead wrote down my goal and said I'll work on that next year.

My reasoning is that I've got enough going on right now that I'd like to get finished first before I start something new. The problem is that being a part of a mastermind group will most likely be more helpful to my investing career then one of the items I'm trying to finish up.

Who says we have to wait for the new year to revisit our goals? Why not change them up July 15th if you feel this new goal is will help you more?

I had this realization last summer and decided to set a new goal. This goal was to outsource the setup of a website and the SEO. Now people who need to sell their New Jersey House quickly can do so at my website.

I think it's that many of us are stubborn and head down and charge forward people. It takes a lot of energy and some time to step back and asses your plan and make a change. It's hard to admit sometimes that we made the wrong choice before we have given it a full 365 days. I know I have this problem....do you?
