Day 1

So today is Thursday, Nov. 20, I just got home from work and thought I'd finally start a blog on here portraying exactly what is to come in my real estate career. I've been on BP for just a few days now and find this site to be tremendously useful, and I plan to take full advantage of it.

So a little about myself... I'm a 23yo Full-time college student working on a Bachelors in Aviation Business Management through Embry Riddle, as well as an Associates in Aviation-Helicopter where I am currently flying helicopters to attain all of my pilot ratings to fly professionally. I recently got out of the Marines in March where I spent the last 5 years as a helicopter door gunner. I am happily married to my elementary sweetheart ;) and we have an amazing 3 year old son. I also work part-time at the local Veterans Center here, as well as a full-time graveyard-shift dispatcher for a Tow Truck Company... Needless to say, I try to stay pretty busy.

I found myself interested in real estate after getting out of the military and have dedicated a lot of my time to studying the art/science of investing, as well as the intricacies of my local housing market. The last few months I've invested a considerable amount of effort establishing the infrastructure for a successful investing business; putting together a solid power-team, raising capital for some investments, and marketing like a mad man. I feel as if I'm in a pretty good position to dive into actually investing. I have actually began marketing to motivated sellers, i.e bandit signs, direct mail, and craigslisting... I will be meeting with some sellers over these next couple days and will be doing a tremendous amount of due diligence before I pull the trigger. Wish me luck and of course, STAY TUNED.........
