Is flipping a scalable business or a short term gig?
People always ask me about how to get into flipping properties. How do I get the money, how do I find the properties and how to make a decent profit with low risk?
There are no easy answers here but I always reply with, are you looking for a hobby that can make you some money or do you want to build a scalable business and become a developer?
Most of the flippers I know that do this part-time have jobs or secondary income streams so I would consider those folks having a hobby but those who I know, like myself, make flipping properties into a scalable business with upside long-term potential.
Think long-term, always have a back up plan and always have another property in the pipeline.
You can make a good living flipping properties but trying to make an income when you only flip one at a time and try to live off of the profits of just 1 flip can be very stressful!
Pick your niche, stick with it and don't stray even for the easy money
Set your foundation and make sure you have your funding and partners in place to grow
Stay within your comfort zone and set up a process that you can repeat every time
Dont always be all about the money, this should be fun and for me it is an outlet of creativity, the money will always be there!
Invest the proceeds wisely and diversify, try to invest in cash flow properties so that your monthly living expenses are taken care of just in case a flip goes bad or doesn't NET you what you expected.
Hire people you can trust and slowly back out of the day-to-day operations to free up more time to grow the business and do what you actually enjoy doing
If you're in it for the short quick money there is nothing wrong with that but scaling your business into something that can operate on systems with professionals who share your vision and goals builds a reputation and a legacy.
Happy Hunting!!!
