Hard money is a term that is thrown around a lot in the real estate industry. A short description of what it is would be private money that is used for funding real estate investment projects. Hard money is usually short term in nature and is very fast to be able to originate as compared to traditional lending models that have long amortization schedules and tougher underwriting.
