Driving for "no Dollars"!

Hey all,

I have frantically driving around as another last resort, no avail thus far. Lot down by the RR tracks, since there was a FSBO sign, thought I'd check it out, an abandoned house, humn, does not look so bad, a granny house! Upon further inspection on 2 lots, okay do-able. Contacted the owner who is not the owner, managing the property, just out of probate, mgr. for the heirs. another nightmare! Well, it has no heat or water source, bathrooms, falling in roof, and all for $30,000 firm! What do these folks around think? Lots in pristine subs may go for $30,000, not one by the RR tracks!

ANother one bites the dust! This other lady has one, she says she will owner finance, blah, blah. 2/1 with dogs that will not be quiet! Good luck with that one!

I must have found about 10 vacants, some in the war zone! My oh my, what a day! All these castles 'round here, bound to have some gold nuggets hidden, I just ain't finding them! DOn't these folks KNOW that property prices have fallen? Yet our taxes here surely have not. SO, Friday, I decided to detour and go another route-aah the famous Probate office. Quite interesting! As I used to work at the property tax office-the job from Hell! That would be another BLOG. Well, seems the probate office is more quiet, a pie job compared to the tax office! I was sitting there using the onsite computer, as they do not have it set up for off site public access-lovely Glynn county! Researching their antiquated methods of gaining information, a lady comes in from out of town to settle her Mom's property-to get it all out of probate-the final closure. Alas, I am reminded of all the trips in the last 6 years to VA regarding my Dad's probate, the hassle and HELL of it all! Reminded that I too need to take care of some business so as not to ALLOW my kids to go thru that mess, the system. As the last 6 years with all of it has left me drained by every sense of the word! So, back to the drawing board, square one! Again, I visited the tax office and deeds, and those folks there are without a clue as the information I sought or how to help me! Oh Lord, in need of the Serenity Prayer today!! How many investors does it take to Flip a house??? I think this town has a major cloud over it!
