The Beginner Multifamily Investor Reference Guide

I noticed we always have new investor come to the multifamily forum and ask "How do I get started". While the BP forums have a search function, I figured It'll be easier if I just created this post to help new guys Getting Started with Multifamily Investing

Multifamily Investment Books:

  • How to Create Lifetime Cash Flow Through Multifamily Properties by Rod Khleif: One of the best A-to-Z guides to buying a multifamily property.
  • How to Make Big Money in Small Apartments by Lance Edwards: a good starter book if you are very new to apartment buildings investing.
  • The Complete Guide to Buying and Selling Apartment Buildings by Steve Berges: Has good example and personal stories that outline the process of purchasing apartment buildings.
  • The Ultimate Guide to Buying Apartment Buildings with Private Money by Michael Blank: Focuses on buying the first multifamily property.
  • Wheelbarrow Profits by Jake Stenziano and Gino Barbaro: Focuses on value-add smaller apartment buildings.
  • It’s A Whole New Business by Gene Trowbridge: If you want to learn about the legal structure of multifamily syndications, look no further.

Multifamily Investment Podcasts:

  • The Bigger Pockets Podcast: one of the most popular real estate investment community. Great podcast always interesting guests.
  • The Old Capital Real Estate Investing Podcast: hosted by commercial lending brokers from Old capital. Focuses on multifamily and apartment building investing.
