Long Island Buyer: Can We Use Another Realtor Besides Listing Agent?
Buyers Ask: Can We Use Another Realtor Besides the Listing Agent To Show Us Property?
We have been asked this question many times. Not all consumers actually understand how Real Estate works, and are confused about using a Realtor.
The answer is YES, you can use another Realtor other than the listing agent!
Any licensed Long Island Agent can show a buyer property, but why not use a Realtor who works for you (the buyer) and not the seller? In case you didn't know, the listing agent was hired by the seller to get them the highest price possible, but the listing agent is NOT the only agent that can show the property.
If you see a for sale sign on a house you like, your Buyer Representative can show you the property too, not just the listing agent. Keep in mind, the commission fee comes out of the proceeds of the sale so you are not paying any more for a Realtor who works for you the buyer. Since the listing agent was hired by the seller, whom do you think the Agent is working for? You the buyer? Of course not. They are working for the seller who hired them!
So, if you would like to purchase a home or condo on Long Island, hire Realtors Lawrence "Larry" and Sheila Agranoff, and be certain they will negotiate the best price for YOU in today's market!
