Inflection Point! Do I continue in Real Estate?

So, I have done a few deals now after buying my first home at 22. It was a three bedroom, one bath home with a big yard in a good neighborhood. It needed a new roof, carpet, kitchen remodel and paint. I moved in with holes in the exterior, cinder block walls.I loved the house and the journey in to which I had just stepped.

After ten years in the home and uncountable many weekends working on the house, all of that hard work had gotten done. I had made it my own with every new task done. The carpet was replaced with 16 inch beige tile, kitchen was completely redone. Paint, baseboards and etc all got done.

I was presented with a personal situation and opportunity to purchase another severe fixer upper in 2014 and that purchase would allow the first home to become a rental. A new journey began and after four years, I sold the second home for a very big profit.

I still have the first home as a rental, I have money in the bank, I have a home for my family and I to live in but I have no solid plan how to continue in this real estate game. It is only now that I am looking back that I realize that all of these opportunities and decisions weave together to make a cohesive story. Each step was taken in isolation.

I don't want to get off of the road just yet. I am not ready to throw in the towel. I am looking for the next step that I can take to get further down the path of this journey.
