Never Say Never, Achieve Your Greatness

Never say never. Take the following words out of your vocabulary - it cannot be done. Nobody thought it was possible to run a mile in under 4 minutes until Roger Bannister did it in 1954. Nobody believed that man could slip the bonds of earth to walk on the moon until Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin did it in 1969 as a part of the Apollo 11 space expedition mission. It was long held that kids could not change the world, much less win the Nobel peace prize until Malala Youfef won the award in 2014 for her work on women's and educational rights as a teenager becoming the youngest person, at the age of seventeen, ever to win the famed and prestigious honor. Can’t was nowhere in the equation in any of those cases. The ultimate key to yours and their success is a firm faith that it can always be done and the confident expectation that it would be done. Too often in the current landscape we mistake the difficult for the impossible, remember that your present circumstances do not determine where you can go they merely determine where you start. Life is filled with examples about the pathway to greatness.

It is that greatness that comes from when you feel it on your insides of what is possible and what can be accomplished. We all know people who wish to hold us down, and suck the positive feelings right out of us. The simple reality is that feeling good has got to become part of your overall routine. It could be something simple or it could be something complex, but finding that thing that gets you to a yes is vitally important. When you tap you into that space of being a yes for life you are able create a better a connection to the space in the world you have immersed yourself in, and people become more attracted to you. It is the ability that we have to show people that we are there to create light, energy, and to add days to their lives, not to create darkness, not remove energy, and certainly not to take away people's days.

It is the same way that when I speak to a salesperson or at events I always tell people nobody wants to buy your product, and people are always shocked into silence when I say that, but at that point I know I have their attention because I will need their attention with the part that comes next. What I, and others want, is actually the product of your product. It is the enjoyment, the reward, the safety, the peace of mind. When I went to college I did not go there to get a diploma, I went to get an education and secure a lifetime of success framed with significance. When you buy clothing you do not buy clothes just to have clothes, if that was the case we would walk around in jeans and tee shirt all day. We buy clothing to feel confident and comfortable, too look sharp and feel professional. It is all about the feeling, the emotion, and the intangible things that seep into your heart and your mind. That is what I mean when I say the product of the product. So always be asking yourself what is the product of my product? Your answer should focus on something other than yourself. Be helpful. Be humble. Remember if you help enough people in your life that they will in turn help you to get what you want out of your life. And if you do that you will realize the vital component of any life, the more value you render the more valuable you become.

This week I challenge you to cut the noise out of your life. I dare you to step in the greatness around you by eliminating the negative and cannot's from your life and instead focus inwards. Create meaning and purpose in not only your own life, but in the lives around you. Do not be afraid of what you are capable of doing or the product of your capabilities success. Embrace it by instead challenging yourself to think what is possible next to do. Do more than what is required of you, and do it with wild enthusiasm. Do good. Have a wonderful week.

  1. Thanks for sharing. Some of my greatest motivation came shortly after some of the hardest times of my life. I also believe we are capable of achieving anything we put our minds to, but there has to be a sense of purpose behind it. With that, we can push through all the negativity that's involved with achieving our goals. Sometimes it seems easier to immerse ourselves in negativity. Its like the saying goes "Misery loves company". But when we work even harder to stay positive and cut out the noise (as you mentioned), we grow tremendously, and get that much closer to whatever it is we want to accomplish.
