Literature while on the treadmill.
Got home today and decided to buy the book recommended by Noah Kagan (I just listened to his podcast, which btw was indeed funny.) The Ultimate Sales Machine reiterates again and again the importance of pigheaded discipline and determination in all aspects of a business. As a solo-flier, I can apply this to my general lifestyle rather than a business, but it got me started on specific ways to efficiently run and manage a business. I shall keep reading. There are so many great key points... Here are some:
- make a to-do list with no longer than 6 of the most important tasks for the day. Next to each task, write how much time should be spent doing it. Do the most important task first. (prioritize)
- continuously check to make sure you're practicing what you know. muscle memory.
- never stop learning - preparedness for all situations.
Also got started on the book The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down: Real Life Strategies for Investing in Real Estate Using Other People's Money. I think this book is probably more interesting/relevant to my current situation: getting educated and developing a creative mindset.
The webinar I attended today was not really worth the time I had to set aside. It was mostly about the "why" of MF investment, which, I already have a lot of why. It didn't go much into the how, except for the semi sales pitch at the end to invest in their next big project with them. Ehhh. Too impersonal for me.
I did end up scheduling my first meeting/coffee date with a fellow BP member for next week, so I need to mentally prepare and plan for it. :)
I spent 2 hours walking/jogging on the treadmill today, listening to my new books, and it felt like flying. Like this is what I was supposed to be studying all along.
