@Nathan Eastwood Welcome to the BP community. In addition to BP, I would also join a local REIA, start networking with experienced investors and learning your market before buying your first property. Wishing you the best as you begin your investing journey.
Welcome. Fort Worth's a good market to learn in — enough inventory that you'll see real deals, not so hot that everything's picked over before it hits the MLS.
One piece of advice for the first few months: analyze deals you're not going to buy. Pull ten listings a week, run the numbers, write down what you'd offer and why. You'll be wrong at first, and being wrong on paper costs nothing. By deal thirty you'll spot a bad one in ninety seconds instead of ninety minutes, and that's the skill that matters more than any single deal.
What strategy are you leaning toward — buy and hold, flips, or still figuring it out?

I'm looking at buying and renting out. At least that is the plan as of right now.
