One thing I've come to quickly appreciate in real estate is how valuable the relationships are.
I've had some great conversations with investors around Atlanta lately. Some have been in the business for decades, others are just getting started, but there's something to learn from just about everyone.
It's easy to get caught up in finding the next deal, but I think the relationships you build along the way are just as important.
A good deal might lead to one transaction. A good relationship can lead to years of opportunities.
I've noticed that after meeting an investor in person or grabbing lunch together, the conversations that follow feel a lot less like business and more like two friends working toward the same goal.

Hi @Madox Miller, I couldn't agree more. Looking back, so many of the best opportunities I've had came through someone I knew and trusted. That's a big part of why we started our co-investing club. Members come from all different backgrounds and experience levels, and vetting deals together each month has turned into real friendships. Someone always catches something the rest of us missed. Those lunches in Atlanta are worth every minute, and I'd keep making time for the newer folks too, since they often become the partners you call later.
