Hello Management Review
My experience with Hello Management was exceptionally disappointing, and I would strongly caution property owners against using their services.
Of the 10 tenants Hello Management placed in my properties, six never paid a single month of rent, and the remaining four were evicted within six months. Collections never exceeded 60% during their management.
When I raised concerns about the tenant outcomes, I was verbally told by Hello Management that this was common practice with tenants they placed. That response raised serious concerns about their tenant screening and placement standards.
The problems extended well beyond tenant placement. Financial reporting was consistently inaccurate, duplicate charges and overcharges occurred, and additional charges were not properly reflected or explained in the accounting. Reconciling the books became unnecessarily difficult because I could not rely on the accuracy or completeness of the reports.
Maintenance management was also unsatisfactory. Rather than simplifying property ownership, Hello Management created additional work, confusion, and frustration.
The most telling comparison is what happened after we brought management in-house. We have since maintained 100% occupancy and 97% rent collections. That is a dramatic improvement from the results we experienced under Hello Management.
Tenant placement, rent collection, accurate accounting, transparent billing, and responsible maintenance coordination are basic responsibilities of a property management company. In my experience, Hello Management fell short in every one of these areas.
I cannot identify a single aspect of their performance that I would consider acceptable. The financial and operational consequences were significant, and the time spent correcting problems only compounded the frustration.
I would not trust Hello Management with another property, and I would not recommend them to other property owners. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to look elsewhere and conduct thorough due diligence before signing a management agreement.
