I'm currently completely redoing a little cottage (1,000 sqft including walk out basement).

My units are pretty upscale small cottages but there are also a lot of people looking for less expensive more utilitarian STVR places, and also a number of people looking for a month to three month cheaper furnished rentals such as traveling nurses.Clearwater would be a great area, I think.

Laura,  those inspectors reports have as many holes as a cake of Swiss cheese, they give themselves many way outs from liability.

She had a two family, a cottage and a garage on one property a block from the bay.

No doubt there are holes in this idea like swiss cheese.

The exception is I have a tiny cottage that a tub would make the bathroom awkward so it just has a shower.Not sure about your spacing but if you have room to build that wall and shelf it or something that would get your tub away from the window.

It is an excellent neighborhood, where a 2/1 1000 sq ft cottage sells for almost $300k, but the houses are approx 100 yrs old.
