if that's the case... not sure STRs are a good fit for you.maybe the heavyweights like @John Underwood and @Michael Baum can chime back in with their perspectives but with the market the way it is, and prices and rates high, it's a tough time to want to buy any old property and have it operate itself.hope this helps you think through things
