Although my background is in venture financings and M&A, I’ve recently become deeply interested in real estate and small business ownership — restaurants, local developments, or even early-stage ventures with real assets. 

They are very dialed in, raising capital per community, and then cash out refinancing and returning capital.We had considered this model for a portion of a development we are working on, but zoning only allows 20% of the site to be attached doubles and I don't know if I want to try to convince them otherwise. 

The entire project was developed as a group investment based on my designHow did you finance this deal?

Our architectural firm is not a developer nor do not have the ability to take on "risk" like investors.
