.- Ask them to report any loss of water pressure right away — that’s often an early warning sign.It’s also helpful to remind them to keep garage doors closed (if applicable) and to remove hoses from exterior spigots.Clear communication now can prevent a very expensive problem later.

- GFCI's, handrails, smoke detectors and other repairs may be required.How equiped are you to advertise your rental, show it to prospects, find a rental application to use, do a background/credit check on applicants, figure out how to screen applicants, find a lease to use, find a handyman for maintenance or do yourself, etc...

We've all been there.You have two not great options here realistically:1) Stick with a squatter and collect no rent (or deal with uncertainty)2) Move to evict (sounds like you've already posted the applicable notices) and pay for an eviction and a renovation, re-leasing as quickly as you can to get the cash coming back in.
