Question for property managers

For those actively managing rental portfolios or property management businesses:

• How do you currently handle tenant screening (applications, background checks, follow-ups)?
• Who manages maintenance requests, vendor coordination, and work order tracking?
• How are showings, move-ins/move-outs, and communication coordinated day to day?

I’m especially curious whether these functions are handled:

• In-house by local staff

• Outsourced domestically

• Or handled remotely by trained team members

If someone were well-trained in property management operations (screening, maintenance coordination, tenant communication, AppFolio/Buildium, etc.) and able to work remotely from Mexico, is that something you’ve:

• Already implemented?

• Actively considered?

• Or ruled out for specific reasons (compliance, trust, time zones, etc.)?

Would love to hear what’s actually working in real businesses today.
