Homes are easily well above $700k and don't expect privacy at that pricepoint. 

That sounds alot like my plan though didnt consider using the basement for myself as privacy would almost be lile a duplex.

I like my privacy too, but the reality is there's not much you can do to hide the fact that you're the owner.
