OBVIOUSLY a unit that has been continuously occupied for at least 15 years, and VISIBLY had issues as described, will most certainly have many other unnoticed or hidden issues due to age that are also best addressed at vacancy.

I wrote a comparison of this event to a water heater leak at another property a few years ago (before our system was deployed) where the supply shutoff valve on a water heater in a closet of a second floor unit leaked and went unnoticed by the tenants until the laminate flooring in the adjacent room started to cup.

I'm dealing with one right now on the order of leaking 2400 gallons per day.Not sure what the water bill will be this time, but if something like this were to have gone unnoticed, my bill would be in the $900/m range for a SFH.
