Possibly, if you believe your real estate investments will outperform this, including your time invested than it may be worth the adventure.

It has been an adventure but we learned alot and now have 2 other properties we are working on. 

I love reading the posts in these forums and learning what is working and what isn't from those who are further along in their adventure than I am.

My dad and my sister are very interested in this also but they wont be able to jump on board until 2021 as my dad wants to pay off his mortgage before starting a new adventure (only a year left). what do you think I should do?

I've been flipping and renting since '91 around Birmingham, Alabama, so I've seen a few...from the courthouse steps, we bought a funky looking commercial building on 6 acres in a bad part of town one time for $24k, rented it to a shady "casino" group for 12 months at $2k/mo, then sold it for $180K on the 13th month.We bought a SFR on the courthouse steps in a different county for $80k.

Long term I want to be able to support my mom, grandpa and future wife and kids financially while also spending time adventuring with them and being there for the everyday parts of life.

i see lots of new development near sky river casino and in elk grove florin rd (lennar) .
