I was in a similarly tense situation with our tax peeps this year but we kept everything civil and polite, then hit the deadline working together professionally.

Not to get political - but since we are being truthful, monetary policy is not independent and there has already been an intentional loosening of banking rules to facilitate more lending and more...activity & profits.Things to watch: ARMs (Adjustable Rate Mortgages) are increasing in percentage of loans closed, as are interest-only, lower down payments on DSCR or NON-QM (Alternative Income & Asset Verification) as are the DTI, reserves and employment duration criteria. 

But I got slightly turned off when a few would speak up and say "my bookings are definitely affected..." and things became slightly political and the message I'd see was- "I'm not being affected at all...

They won't take a polite no for an answer so I had to be really firm and tell him, "NO.

**Political Motives:**Cases with strong political implications or involving public corruption are also more likely to be handled by the FBI. 

In Chicago the worst building are the elevator high rises mostly owner occupants who pay huge HOA $600-1200 and still have barely any reserves for their size, they tend to be politically far left with anti landlord rules in their HOA docs and a very poorly run HOA.

We sent a letter to ALL the tenants, politely reminding them to be respectful of their neighbors.

Defense they can get from China and Russia without our questioning their social and political alignments.
