It seems that the further north you go, the more sketchy the area is, but it seems like the area closest to Rockwater would be in the path of progress? 

Every minute that is spent doing something that does not result in progress is money lost.

The path of progress is pushing this way.

You just won't make progress at the same rate.

Once I start to renovate I think I'll update again on the progress. 

Not really interested in warzone areas, unless it is in a transitional area, path of progress, etc.

Lesson learned, check the progress and quality of their work early on and have them provide documentation - not be so trusting that the owner/contractor will get it done properly, in good faith. 

But I'm also progressing to set up an LLC and transfer this rental into that.For tax deductions, am I better off waiting until it's an expense for the LLC or does it not really matter because I can access the same tax deductions on my personal tax return?
