Did Dad have any other kids? 

We also want to get a cabin in the mountains once all our kids are finished with school.  

One of my kids talked to a lender about it but they couldn't find anything that they could really afford the monthly payments with nothing down.Hopefully, someone here can help you find a good agent.

All the parents picking up the kids are talking about it and how scared everyone is.

I've been able to save a ton of money from my new job I just got and my wife works, we have no kids but we do have 2 - 4 legged creatures we call our own. 

He also happens to be a family friend (I actually taught his kids in 2nd Grade years ago).

Out of state parents will often pay whatever for their kids to have a place, which inflates the prices above what market rents will support.   

Specifically, the restraining order was because the tenant allegedly threatened the neighbor’s kid.

I have found that even many high-end homes have ADUs or au pair suites that people like to rent to traveling nurses, professors on sabbatical, grad students, their kids who come back from college or aging parents (likely no rent in that scenario).
