I am here to tell you I am very sorry this is happening but it is the game, your lawyer's office should have another attorney or at the very lease a referral for someone to go to when this is something that needs to be happening now not two weeks from now.

So from reading several posts regarding LLCs and REI, it seems pretty obvious that you don't need to, nor should you, start and invest using an LLC until you are much deeper into the game.
