They can't attach your property that's legally sold without some kind of court action, and selling property in anticipation of an adverse judgement is not the same thing as attempting to circumvent bankruptcy or similar laws.

If so, there may be programs available, even if you didn't have flood insurance, for grants or loans to help you as an owner-occupant homeowner rebuild after storm damage, especially if your area was declared a major disaster or national emergency or whatever it's called.

Even if borrower was somehow successful in getting it postponed, they just blew up your idea because once filed, the property belongs to the bankruptcy court and you have no say so, or claim and nothing you want to do (or the borrower for that matter) is relevant any longer.
