Otherwise you'll get a bunch of vague responses from people who've been here on this site from 6 months to a year but seem to respond to every post as if they were an expert in all fields just to up their post/influence count.

Since I'm not a pro, I would encourage you like the others to seek expert advice as I may be wrong in how I'm allocating across states.

But, as to racking up points in a short period of time by posting these generalized questions that simply invoke a broad opinion or political view is rather demeaning to the intent of the influence points, I'd say some of the older technicians, specialists and "experts" who earned their points by providing sound RE advice lose influenece in a way as someone with less RE knowledge is seen as a peer in terms of the points granted, when that poster is no where near being a peer in hard core RE knowledge.

That is what I was thinking...a place that anyone could throw in their experience, without a perceived need to feel like they are an expert in anything, really, so as to not feel intimidated by jumping into the posting world :)
