I know someone who did the same thing, took extra money from a refi & put it in the stock market.

I'm looking at it purely by numbers- cutting an extra $8K off the top is tough- especially with a partner.

Once the C.A. is approved by the seller, I will forward the appraisal and some added info for your review.

This is prior to adding the profit or real estate commission.

The house was wrapped in tyvek and then the foam barrier was added follwed by the siding.My mom's house looks completely different than it did for 30+ years, but that was caused by the addition of a 6 foot bay window that was a picture window.

As for the question Greg_home123 posted about how I'm determining value, I used Zillow.com, took the value they gave me, which represented about a $40,000 loss (a little less than 10%), and then added back some things of value, such as the lot, condition, etc.
