I believe from my experience that the led bulbs last about the same amount of time as regular incandescent bulbs.

I did LEDs in my rental (both bulbs and ceiling disk fixtures where there used to be can lights), but I got the 2700 or 2750 K ones - pretty close to a plain old soft-white incandescent.

We had a similar case whereby the Cu pipes would freeze inside an outside wall & even with heat tracing & an incandescent light they didn't split BUT still froze.

That's a fire hazard & renders any assumption of grounding moot & Bldg Inspectors will look for it.If you leave it 'as is', my suggestion is to install LED lighting throughout to avoid the high heat created by incandescent lighting fixtures that are spec'd for 60W & the tenants put in 100+W bulbs.

I budgeted to do some of the work myself (swap out incandescent for updated lighting, all demo and haul away and install the cabinets and counters).
