This legislation introduces new compliance standards for landlords and property managers across Washington.Key Provisions:- No rent increases allowed during the first 12 months of a tenancy- Annual rent increases capped at 7% plus CPI, not to exceed 10%- Maximum 5% premium allowed for month-to-month rentals compared to fixed-term leases- 90 days’ written notice required for any rent increase- Notice must be personally delivered or, if not possible, posted on the property and sent via first-class mail- Rent increase notices must include specific language mandated by law- Tenants and the Attorney General may bring legal action to enforce compliance- Civil penalties up to $7,500 per violation, plus attorney’s fees and damagesLandlords operating in Washington should review their lease terms and notification procedures to ensure full compliance with the new law.

Our lease agreement has language in it that mandates the tenant includes the Landlord as an Additional Insured and our management company as an Additional Interest on their policy.

Way back when a few years ago when I found out that probate was filed against my fathers estate, the distance to drive from Sacramento county to Contra Costa county was a pain to drive.Through my attorney's suggestion I filed a Request for Special Notice.This document (when I filed) gave me notice of every court-mandated document that was filed and was mailed to my residence.

generally speaking most of the time you have to hook to Sewer if its in the city .. not many cities allow septic systems.. on that map your septic drain field does not look near big enough and they will mandate an area that is 100% same size for back up when the original system may fail.
