I wanted to reach out for additional feedback on a retirement or soft FI strategy I’m helping someone think through.My friend’s dad, who lives in Sacramento, wants to retire but currently doesn’t see a clear path with his 401(k) or other investments.

That is a good investment, even for experienced investors.Rent To Retirement is the most reviewed company on the BP website, and has been for over a decade. 

My wife and I have great paying W2 professional jobs but I'm 48 and looking to retire in 8-10 years.

Although this probably feels like a million years away here is a cautionary tale for those who plan to retire on the income from rental properties.
