Equity Brokers

I just wondered are there such thing as equity brokers just like there are mortgage brokers. I'm speaking primarily in the multi family space.

Yes there are, @Ron Steele , but they typically only place capital for large deals. $10 million would be a small deal, $20 million would be interesting to a lot of these guys.  Get over $20 million and they really get interested. 

You won't find these guys in the yellow pages (do those still exist?), they usually get their business by referral.  If you didn't get introduced by someone they know, you'll have a lot of talking to do to get them to take you seriously.
