Hi, I am R.J. Cox. Originally from NYC, I now live in the Atlanta area. I joined BP at the referral of a colleague. I am amazed at the wealth of information already on the site, and look to join the discussions to share and learn. For the past 16 years, I have worked as a real estate broker, primarily with investors, helping my clients find win-win deals. With over 350 closings so far, I have worked on many types of deals and I am open to learning from others while sharing my experiences.

@RJ Cox

Hello Bigger Pockets newest member!

I just wanted to take a moment and say hello as I also am an Atlanta-area investor. I live on the north-end of Atlanta but do most of my investing inside the city-perimeter. There are a couple good REIA's here in Atlanta that I would recommend you consider joining if you are not already a member. There are also some really good Atlanta-area investors on Bigger Pockets.

Here are a few tips for Bigger Pockets so you can get the most out of it:

Be sure to set up “keywords" for whatever type of investing you’re interested in with "Atlanta” obviously being the primary keyword.

Secondly, I try to read at least a blog per day, as well as listen to one podcast per week.

Lastly, try to get involved in the Bigger Pockets community. Don't be timid - share advice and ask questions!

Good luck. I hope to see you around Bigger Pockets as well as in the Atlanta-area market. I’m here if you have any questions!

Professional regards -

Andrew

Welcome to GA and BP R. J. Where in NY do you hail from? Whoever referred you to the site you should buy em a steak. There is a wealth of information education + more. I would like to talk about your win-win deal searches and experiences. Have you attended any of Metro Atlanta's REIAs?

Welcome RJ. Atlanta is very spread out as a metro area but, you should have no problems transitioning from New York. I suggest your network at a few of the REIA meetings as well. Let me know if I can help. Welcome!

It's been a few days since I've been on BP, so I have had a lot of updates to read!

@Rhevon Lewis, Brooklyn is my hometown. I have placed the metro area REIA's on my schedule. Which ones are you a part of? Hopefully, we will get an opportunity to speak further on some of your interests.

Thanks, @Ericka Parrott, for the REIA suggestions as well. Which group(s) are you with?

I would definitely appreciate an invitation to the next BP meetup @Azeez K.! Thank you for the New Member Tips as well, and also to @Dmitriy Fomichenko

Thanks for the welcome, @Ramon Jenkins and @David Bateman.

 @Marlene Michael - we need to set up some time to sit down and talk over some steak sometime soon!

@RJ Cox Ok Brooklyn was my favorite place to visit when I was in the Y. I used to frequent Bedstuy up until a couple years ago. @Marlene Michael Since I suggested the steak dinner perhaps we should make it dinner for three (4 really my partner included).... RJ thoughts?
