Soon to be first time buyer
So some background. Currently going through NACA to get a property. Prequalified so no issues there. Goal is to get a 3 family home in NY that pays itself. I'm interested in rentals and will be coming into some money soon that I want to invest as well. My struggle is identifying what the standard market price/whats the process for renovating to separate the units and how zoning applies/where do you find the properties moreso the apps say multi-family and number of rooms but are missing pictures or details.
My goal is to find an affordable place but everything seems so expensive. Also, has anyone worked with SOYNMA? I want to put down as little as possible and am interested in any alternative programs that help do so.
Welcome to BiggerPockets! Truly nice to meet you. Good luck going forward! Hope the best for you going forward in 2020!! The biggest this is ask questions of zoning office. They will answer question. And get active in the forums. I wish the most success for you on your quest!!

Hey @Frank Castillo,
I'm local and happy to help. I've worked on SONYMA deals before and understand the ins and out of it!
