Hi Everyone,
When you are in the Information Marketing and Teaching Business you realize many things that you didn't notice before. Some people come off as the most friendly and helpful " on stage" , but then turn a COLD shoulder to you, their students or anyone else when the lime light fades. Others seem a bit annoying, unorganized, and scatter brained on stage, but when they talk to you they seem like geniuses. They connect with you on levels you didn't expect. They genuinely care about YOUR success and not just THEIR pocketbook getting fatter.
Does that make sense?
Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to find out these things unless you attend the speaker/teacher/Guru events AND meet them personally. You would form a better opinion because your perspective, drive and learning capability may be different from your friend that DOGGED the guru. Not always, but certainly sometimes this is case.
When you attend an event, especially if it is a BIG ONE, the " Power of Suggestion" comes into play.
What is " The Power of Suggestion" ?
It is an overwhelming FEELING that you understood MORE than what you really comprehended. To say it simple: INTENSE peer pressure. This is the feeling you get when you caught running to the back of the room waiving your credit card in hand ready to buy EVERYTHING in sight. Why? For the most part you are racing everyone else to get there first.
I mean... If THEY are running back there doesn't it mean YOU should too?
Hence the " INTENSIVE" part of the " Power of Suggestion" .
Remember people learn differently. They are on different levels and comprehend differently. To say that one guru was BETTER than another may not be an accurate assessment of the teaching ability for them. Your opinion is heavily dependent on how you are wired up to learn things and your PERSPECTIVE at the time of the lesson.
Please do not get this confused with gurus that 99 out of 100 people tell you, plain SUCK. That is something completely different. I encourage you to not be so quick to judge. Remember when an opinion is given to you consider the source and how that person's perspective played into how they felt about the matter before the event.
Remember... be a servant,

P.S. I also agree that Steve Cook has an understanding course. He is great communicator and educator. Also my friend Shawn McCloskey is phenomenal too.
