Well, I'm glad to see that my family's share was only a little more than $80K. Of course, it's probably closer to $100K since they've been adding trillions to the tab in the past couple of weeks. Well, that's not quite right either. With about one-third of the people in this country being lazy deadbeats who get handouts, our share is actually more like $150,000 per family.

I remember driving past the clock every time I was in the city, when growing up. I can't believe we're past $10 trillion.

He and the rest of the guys in Washington (Dems and Repubs) are all spinning their wheels, unable to figure this or anything else out.
They don't know any better what is going to happen then you or I do, James. There is blame to go around, and although I'm not a fan of Bush, you cannot put it all on him.

I'm no fan of deficits, bailouts, or bloated Federal bureaus-- but...the raw dollar number can be misleading. I'm sure it's also at record levels-- but what's the % of GDP the debt represents? If I have $100 in debt and $0 income-- I'm in trouble. If I have $1,000,000 in debt and $100,000,000 income-- I'm fine.
