Tenant application rejections

If I hired a property manager to list and manage my property, and they have found a potential renter that meets their requirements, what rights do I have an an owner to reject the tenants application?

Example:

-reasons to believe they are lying on the application

-being the direct supervisor of them or their wife, in a separate business

-domestic disturbance issues

-history of drug use

-reports of poor living conditions

- saying the don’t have pets, but social profiles seem to say otherwise

All of these apply to one applicant or are these just examples? If they've selected someone you don't want, tell management you don't want that applicant in your property and why.

@John Teachout a few of these examples apply. The property management is saying their are going to reach out to their legal team to make sure they aren’t violating the tenants rights by declining the application. They said, “hear say of an applicant isn’t reason enough to deny them.” I am just wondering what my rights are and if I can refuse to rent to someone for reasons that I have found out about through friends and off record officials in the community.

I'm a little puzzled why you and the management company are trying to both do the same job?
