Has anyone found a brand of study guide particularly necessary or useful?

Considering purchasing the kaplan one.

Mary, if you are an attorney, you don't need a broker's license, but you probably already know that. Just studying for greater insight?
Contact the local Board of Realtors, the one in Springfield stocks them as well as other materials in the library. Check the local library, may not be current but it's basic.

You'll need the class room hours, the BoR can give you a list of local schools and they have the text.

Brokers can split commissions with an attorney and you can charge a commission as well, but hourly works or both... :)

Who issues the testing in your state??

It's been years and years since I took the brokers exam in Georgia.

Here we use AMP (applied measurement professionals) to conduct the testing. They have a book that encompasses state questions and then the national ones.

The sales associate is multiple choice but the brokers exam here when I took it was a complex weighted scale test based on situations. There was no black and white just better answers and worse answers.

You would get a story and then make a choice and then go to the next paragraph and so on until you finished the case study. The answers were weighted from + 3 to - 3 and if you achieved a certain score at the end you passed.

In your state if you have multiple choice it will be a cake walk. Find out the testing parameters and style to determine the best way to study.
