What would you do in this situation as an investors?

Hello BP members,

As we are seeing RECESSION is coming, expecting in 2023. What would you do in this situation as an investors? Do you continue to hold your properties or sale and get money out and invest somewhere else, like gold, silver or bonds?

If anything wait for prices to drop (they will) and snatch up a couple more properties.....

I'm staying put.

I recently sold a property to get more liquid, but am paying off some properties, so, if the crap hits the fan, to be able to be able to weather a storm.  But I believe in my properties and and location, and purchased them with the intention to keep them for the long-term.

Thanks you all for the advice! I'm thinking the same too, and still want to acquire more but too afraid of the huge recession coming our way. I know others would think the same as us, waiting for a huge opportunity like 2008.

There will always be good deals to invest in any market. I would keep any real estate you hold and continue to search for good deals, deals where you can force appreciation on the property through renovations. Also think long term for real estate. Real estate builds long term, generational wealth.

@Tony Lee first of all I would lose the ALL CAPS no need to shout and panic: recessions are a natural part of the business cycle.

We have been in an expanding bull market for so long people forget.

And all but the most significant macro recessions don’t mean a micro recession for any particular asset class or location.

I'm holding, my current properties are positioned to weather the recession, so i'm investing in small business. Looking to buy another before the end of the year. Fear creates opportunity!

And get ready to snatch up some STRs...that market is over saturated with investors who got lucky because you could STR a tent for the past couple years. That will change. Combine the STR investors dumping their properties and the market prices decreasing and there should be some deals........IMO
