How do you define a full rehab vs a cosmetic rehab?

This is for my fix and flippers!

I am a wholesaler and looking to understand more about how a fix and flipper thinks.

This will allow me to better serve my customers. AKA Fix and Flippers

How would you all define a full rehab vs a cosmetic rehab?

What things do you replace on a full rehab vs a cosmetic rehab?

Light cosmetics think small face lift easy to do fixes, you can handle it.

heavier rehab starts to occur when you think "oh man i can use a contractor or somebody for this job"

full rehab think structural alterations, major upgrades, new appliances, a complete makeover to the current piece of property.

@Daniel Mendez, those terms are somewhat subjective but I'll give it a shot.

Light Cosmetic Rehab: Mostly paint and SOME (but not all) flooring and possibly a few other oddball upgrades here or there like a few light fixtures.

Significant Cosmetic Rehab: Paint, all flooring, plus other items such as doors, countertops, window coverings, landscaping, etc.

Full rehab: Would be updating/replacing systems in the house that need replacing such as HVAC, hot water heater, electrical upgrades, etc. Plus replacing any dated fixtures in the house such as tubs, showers, sinks, cabinets, electrical fixtures, etc. Plus all the work of a signficant cosmetic rehab. This may also involve changing the layout of the home or making the use of the home modern, for example by adding a 2nd bathroom to a 4 bedroom house.

Gut Remodel: Just like it sounds. Take it down to the studs and and rebuild most everything to where its almost like new construction when complete.
