Investing in a retirement home
Within the next few years, I would like to invest in a home I can retire in up in Northern AZ. I played with the option of using my VA construction loan and purchasing land in Northern AZ. Then rent out my current property. I have also thought about land splitting my 4 acres, pinal county allows up to 1.25 acres per lot, to have 3 lots. This route seems more ideal as I don't really want to be responsible for a rental property. Would it be more attractive for a residential property investor if the leg work is done prior as in getting the site surveyed, showing proof my land can accommodate 3 lots with water and electric or advertise it as it has the potential to build three homes on the property and leave the burden on the buyer?
The area, between Marana and Red Rock, is beginning to grow. More stores, fast food, and stick homes are actively be built in the area. The area is growing and maybe an ideal place for people to live or rent to those that want to live way from the town without being isolated.
Any feed back is appreciated.
