I own a four unit building in IL. My building shares a parking lot with a building that is being purchased. The agent of the purchaser of that building reached out to me, and asked if I would be interested in selling, which I am. Would it be normal for the commission to be paid by me, or the buyer?

Normally the seller, but it can be negotiated either way. In the end, it all washes out....if the buyer pays, he's building it into his total purchase price anyway.
