We all know how bad a Zestimate can be for pricing a property....but the new Redfin estimate is no where near the realm of reality for most of the properties Im checking.  Is everyone else having the same experience in their market? There is a property I am looking at right now with a market value of $425,000. The Zestimate on it is $414, 561....which is actually pretty close. (Though somehow the house next door has a Zestimate of $377,547 for the identical model). But the Redfin estimate on this house is $314,906.

At least with Zillow most of the time the price will fall within their predicted range, but some of the Redfin ones are off by as much as 50%. Why even roll out this feature when the numbers are so wrong?

I'm sure there is some kind of random spreadsheet formula behind their number.   zillow was founded by statisticians who constantly hone their formula.   however, that being said I wouldn't trust anyones number but my own.   Those numbers are just kinda guesstimates
