I'm 21 years old living in Brooklyn, NY. I have roughly 20k in savings and am looking to invest it somewhere. I understand that real estate creates reliable residual income with renting, and flipping fixer upper properties can make you good money as well. I am not sure if i really have enough money yet to get into real estate, especially in such an expensive market like NYC. What do you all think? When and how much did you have saved when you started investing?
@Jonathan Cucco I believe it's different for everyone. I actually think the money saved up isn't the biggest thing that holds people back. I think the knowledge of how to or where to invest is the biggest decision you have to make. You have a lot of options but you have to find what is best for you. Depending on your connections, your passions, your goals. Look at these and let that decide which avenue and where you invest your money. I would love to help in any way if I can just let me know.
