Hi @Greg Stachurskiwhat types of properties are you looking at? Commercial? Apartments? SFRs?

In multifamily, I am seeing things advertised in the 7 cap range throughout the southwest burbs. I have seen a few things advertised lower, and a handful of properties advertised as close to an 8 cap. If you drill down into the numbers, though, most of the stuff is actually performing at more like a 5 or 6 cap. Does this correspond to what you are seeing, or are you seeing more attractive cap rates?

@John Warren thanks for the insight. I am specifically looking for larger multi as well as commercial RE props. Although Chicago is my hometown, I am currently out of the country. however, I am beginning to look into possible investment opportunities in the area.
